FAQs: New mobile banking app

Family Trust mobile banking is getting a new look and added features.

You’ll be able to view balances quickly, see pending deposits, and transfer money to another member’s account. Touch ID also will be available for users with iOS 8 devices with fingerprint authentication. The upgrade should also correct mobile deposit issues that members may have experienced.

Mobile banking users will still login using your current username and password.

Here are a few FAQs you may find helpful:

Will I need to update my current mobile banking app?
If your device is set to an automatic update setting, you will not need to update your mobile banking app. If your phone does not automatically update, please see instructions on updating your device.

How do I enable the Quick Balance feature?
The quick balance feature enables you to view balances without logging in.

For iPhone: Press “Accounts” and select the tools icon . Then select the accounts you want to access. Selected accounts will be saved automatically.

For Android: Press “Accounts” and select the menu drop down. Select “Settings” and check the “Quick Balance” box. Choose the accounts you want to access. Selected accounts will be saved automatically.

What information will I need transfer money to another member?
You will need their account number and the two digit code that follows the name of the account (Share ID). When the transfer is confirmed, the funds are transferred immediately.

How do I enable Touch ID?
Using your iOS 8 device, press “Settings” on the sign on screen. Then slide the “Fingerprint” toggle switch to enable, and click “Yes”. You will then need to re-enter your password.

What other online services will Family Trust offer this year?
We’re on the waiting list to provide Apple Pay and hope to offer it later this year. We also hope to offer mobile bill pay, and the ability to lock and unlock your card from mobile banking.
