The new school year is quickly approaching. If you’re a York County teacher, don’t start your year without a Family Trust school planner and a Teacher Grant application!
With school starting soon in York County, Family Trust is excited to release this year’s School Planner. This year we printed approximately 8,000 planners for area school districts and many homeschool and private school groups. The planners include convenient district calendars and the observed holidays for the upcoming school year. School districts will have their planners delivered, and we’ll schedule a convenient time for all other planned groups to pick them up.
Teachers can now get a jump start on the 2018-19 school year and submit their applications for a Family Trust Teacher Grant. We have awarded grants to educators for more than 10 years to help teachers create exciting and interactive lessons for their students. This has totaled more than $100,000 in grants to over 350 educators since the program began. The grants have helped students learn about designing with a 3D printer, performing a drama production, building a rock garden, and contributed to sports equipment for a field day.
Like last year, we’ll give twenty $500 grants for individual and collaborative projects. Only online applications will be accepted. The deadline is Monday, Nov. 12.
Grants are available to public, private or home school educators who are Family Trust members. Teachers who want to team up for a grant are welcome to do so provided one teacher within the group is a member. Grants are scored by area teachers. Winners will be announced early next year and honored at a banquet.
