2026 Election of Officials

The Nominating Committee has submitted the following names to be considered in the election of Board Officials to be announced at the 2026 Annual Meeting to be held on July 28th at Family Trust Federal Credit Union, 225 W White St, Rock Hill:

Deborah Broome:

Mrs. Broome currently serves as the Finance Director on the Family Trust Board of Directors. She has been a member of the Credit Union for 43 years. Mrs. Broome is a Senior Fiscal Analyst in the Office of Finance and Business Affairs at Winthrop University where she is responsible for the overall operations of the post-award accounting for sponsored programs and research funding. She has over 25 years of budget and accounting experience in the higher education environment.

Chris Ruh:

Mr. Ruh of Rock Hill currently serves as Chairman of the Family Trust Federal Credit Union Board of Directors. He has served on the board for six years and previously served on the Family Trust Associate Board of Directors and Nominating Committee. Mr. Ruh has been a member of Family Trust for 13 years. He is the President of Williams & Fudge, Inc. and has been with them for almost 27 years. He is a volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America, serving as a Board Member for the Palmetto Council, and is on the Board of Trustees for the South Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (SCICU).

Tim Smoak:

Mr. Smoak of Rock Hill has served on the Family Trust Federal Credit Union Board of Directors for nine years and currently serves as a Director. He has been a member of Family Trust for 25 years and a member of various credit unions continuously for more than 40 years. He is the Chief Operating Officer at Comporium and is a long-standing member of the Comporium Pioneer Association, an employee-based volunteer organization that lends financial and hands-on support to a variety of charitable causes. He earned a master’s degree in economics from the University of Oklahoma and an MBA in Finance from Winthrop University. No nominations were received via petition. As a result, the individuals named above will be automatically elected by acclamation at the 2026 Annual Meeting.
