I have spoken to several clients recently that have said something to the effect of “I am scared of losing money in stocks…I want to move into bonds because they are safer.”
I often get heckled for using too many analogies when communicating with people, but I have found that the most effective way for me to make a complex topic simple is to find a story, paint a proverbial picture, and compare it to the difficult concept.
