Recently, I met with a prospect at my office and the lady said that a client of mine had told her to come see me about money. She was told to see me because of the care I take with clients and to this prospect, that was all she needed to hear.
THEY DON’T CARE WHAT YOU KNOW UNTIL THEY KNOW THAT YOU CARE. That may sound like a Tony Robbins delight, but it is true.
I do care. I take managing money personally. I see it as a big game and every day I win or lose. That is what makes me tick. For you uber-competitive people out there, this is a great business to be in. For those that are not competitive, you might want to look into another line of work.
High pressure. High reward. Win or lose every day. You have to be good every single day. No mistakes. AND the only way you can do all of that is to care.
That is one of the best referrals I have ever gotten, and you know what….I never even got the lady’s account. The lady was not in a position to invest quite yet, but when she is, she will come back because she is now a fan.
This is a short blog entry, and you might be left wanting more, but this occurrence was so profound that I felt as if it deserved a dedicated entry.
They can’t all be 1500 words…that would be boring.
