Are you a student or know one who could benefit from $1,000 extra dollars? The Eddie Reeves Community Commitment Scholarship is now open for applications and will be awarded to a student who exhibits a strong spirit of leadership and volunteerism. This scholarship is open to high school, college and graduate students pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university or a vocational technical school.
The scholarship honors Mr. Eddie Reeves, a credit union volunteer and board chairman who served Family Trust for over 30 years. Past applicants have founded anti-bullying clubs, served tornado victims, delivered food and clothing to the needy, and worked with Habitat for Humanity.
Applicants need to be Family Trust members and will need to provide letters of recommendation from those who are familiar with their character and leadership. Interested students will answer the following question in a brief 300-word essay: “How has giving your time to the community impacted you?”
Complete your application here. Deadline will be updated on the website so please check back. The winner will be announced at the Annual Meeting this spring.
