Video, projects help us celebrate 60th

We’re so excited about being 60 years old that we made a video. Look for Family Trust faces and places and hear employees tell our story.

We kicked off our 60th Anniversary on Feb. 26, the day our charter was approved. Our focus is helping our neighbors, and employees already are in the spirit. Here’s a list of their projects:

Lolita Spigner and April Tate from HR will decorate a Little Free Library at Pilgrims’ Inn; Carmella Petty of the Fort Mill branch plans to work at Special Olympics.

Accounting and Card Services are collecting supplies for Family Promise while employees from our Ebenezer and York branches will walk during Relay for Life in Clover.

Beth Bergstrom, assistant manager at our Dave Lyle branch, is organizing 15 employees for Kickin’ for a Cause that will help Renew Our Community a Safe Place shelter for teens in crisis.

Sarah Thomas, assistant manager in York, and others with the chamber’s Leadership York County, will play in a dodge ball tournament for the Children’s Attention Home.

Members are helping, too, by buying chocolate and coupon books in our branches for the Adult Enrichment Center in Fort Mill, Rideability in Clover and the Family Resource Center in York through the Early Learning Partnership.

“I’ve worked with the homeless and seen what those folks need,” said Lolita. “It’s a privilege to give back through Family Trust.”
