Seven candidates have been presented by the Family Trust Nominating Committee for four available seats on the Board of Directors. This year’s annual meeting will be held May 1 at First Baptist Church in Rock Hill. Our board meets monthly with management and are responsible for general oversight of the credit union and for setting policy.
Family Trust board members are volunteers who serve two-year terms. Since the board is comprised solely of volunteers, those elected officials serve purely out of a desire to see the credit union grow and reach its goals. The board receives no monetary compensation for their positions. In this way, members can rest assured that their best interests, not a profit, are kept in mind. The board is one of the strongest examples of the cooperative nature of credit unions.
The nominees for election to the Board of Directors in 2018 and their bios will be announced next month. Look for your ballot via email or in the mail at the end of March.
