Applications are now being accepted for our $1,000 Eddie Reeves Community Commitment Scholarship, available for a student who is a model leader serving his/her community. The scholarship remembers Mr. Reeves, a credit union volunteer and board chairman who served Family Trust for over 30 years.
Past applicants have founded anti-bullying clubs, served tornado victims, delivered food and clothing to the needy, and worked with Habitat for Humanity.
This scholarship is open to high school, college and graduate students pursuing a degree from an accredited college or university. Applicants will answer the following question in a brief essay: “How has giving your time to the community impacted you?”
Applicants also will need to ask individuals to provide recommendations. The online application is due February 24. Applicants must be a member of Family Trust. The winner will be announced at the Annual Meeting, which will be held March 28 in 2017.
