What would an extra $500 do for you in your classroom? Teachers have through Nov. 18 to apply for a Family Trust Teacher Grant to help them create exciting and interactive lessons for their students. This year we’ll give twenty $500 grants for individual and collaborative projects. Over the years, Family Trust has given over $120,000 to more than 383 educators since the Teacher Grant program was established 17 years ago.
Grants are available to public, private or home school educators who are Family Trust members. Teachers who want to team up for a grant are welcome to do so provided one teacher within the group is a member. Grants are scored by area teachers. Winners will be announced early next year and honored at a banquet.
• Individual Grants: Any Family Trust member who is a public, private or home school educator.
• Collaborative Grants: One member of the team must be a Family Trust member, and all teammates are either a public, private or home school educator.
These grants can be used for any number of classroom projects. Past grants have helped students learn about designing with a 3D printer, perform a drama production, build a rock garden, and gain sports equipment for a field day.
