Start the Year with Free Financial Education

If you’ve missed out on past “Money Matters” financial education sessions, the new year brings three more free workshops for you. They will cover “Mortgage Buying Basics,” “Auto Buying Basics,” and “Budgeting, Credit Score, and Debt Consolidation” this winter.

Mortgage Buying Basics

Held January 9, this workshop is presented by Andrea Dixon and Carolyn Fast, Mortgage Loan Originators with Family Trust. They will cover topics involving what it takes to apply and get approved for a mortgage. This session, as well as others, will provide handouts and take-home information. Each session ends with a Q&A session where you can ask any questions you have.

Auto Buying Basics

Branch Manager Joshua Gaines will discuss what’s needed to buy a car and will look at the process that leads to car ownership. Get the car you need this year and stay within your budget. Learn more on February 13.

Budgeting, Credit Score, and Debt Consolidation

In this session held on March 6, David Casey will discuss different budgeting techniques, explain what makes up your credit score, and explain how debt consolidation can help with your overall financial health.

All Money Matters workshops are free and open to the public. Each session is held at the City of Rock Hill City Council Chambers from 3:00 – 4:00PM. Get more information or sign up for a workshop here.
