Buying a house can be a daunting task. There’s so much to do – save for a down payment, have a good credit score and get insurance. A free workshop on “Home-Buying Made Easy” will walk you through the details so you can get the home of your dreams. It’s part of our “Know Your Dough” series on money management being conducted with the York County Library.
The workshop will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the library on Black Street in downtown Rock Hill. Lisa Young, Family Trust’s vice president of Mortgage Services, will lead. She’ll explain:
- How to qualify for a mortgage (credit score 680 or above, assets and income).
- The types of loans (conventional, FHA, USDA and VA).
- Difference between fixed and adjustable rates.
