For Your Safety: Phishing Scams

Family Trust is warning members not to respond to emails from unknown persons or companies that ask you to confirm or verify bank account information or encourage opening an attachment.

Emails requesting confidential or personal information are one of the most common forms of phishing and should be ignored. They often contain links that install malware when opened. Learn more at the Federal Trade Commission.

Under no circumstance would Family Trust ever ask for your banking information in an email. If you receive an email, call or other communication requesting this information or other information such as your Social Security number, do not provide it.

If you receive correspondence like this, please contact us at (803) 367-4100.
