The Desjardins program was created by CUNA to recognize leadership within the credit union on behalf of financial literacy for all ages. All activities that support personal finance education of members and non-members, including financial literacy leadership efforts.
Family Trust believes in helping people achieve financial success, so we teamed up with CN2 and the City of Rock Hill to offer our Money Matters workshops to provide free financial education to local citizens. The sessions were taught by instructors on basic budgeting, credit score, debt consolidation, and auto and home buying basics.
There is no doubt that there is a lack of financial education sessions available to adults in York County. While information is accessible online, the credibility and reliability can be lacking. By providing this information it is ensured that citizens receive reliable and credible financial information. While we do offer these workshops, we understand everyone cannot attend so we continuously promote budgeting tips and education on our social media page through articles on our website.
Family Trust is excited win a 2018 CUNA Desjardins Award and ready to continue to educate its member and the community on financial success through workshops and events. To learn more about our workplace learning opportunities, click here.
