At Family Trust, we believe your financial institution should be more than just a place that holds your money for you. We came from humble roots and hold fast to our original philosophy of “people helping people.” Everything we do as employees of Family Trust keeps our members as the top priority, and our role in their path to financial success should remain the most important part of our jobs.

We have over 40,000 members in our community who already know the benefit of being a part of a credit union. But, many still don’t or haven’t had the opportunity to learn what makes the credit union difference.

Family Trust is a Co-Op.

Unlike banks, we are owned by our members and not by shareholders. Since we are not owned by shareholders, the only people we strive to please are our members, and every decision we make is in their best interest.

We are Not-for-Profit.

As a credit union, our earnings are re-invested back to our members and services. Banks aim to grow as large a profit as possible for their shareholders. In this way, we are “not for profit.” With this reinvestment, we are able to offer lower rates and fees.

We Strive to Give Back.

Being a credit union means being an active participant and contributor to the local community. We invite all who live, work, worship or go to school in York County to join Family Trust. We fund many organizations and non-profits that strive to make our community a better place to live. Employees participate in fundraising bake sales, events, and donations. We offer free financial education workshops, teacher grants, and scholarships to applicable members.

We Have What You Want.

Lastly, because we are not-for-profit, we can continue to offer great products such as our True Choice Checking free with digital banking and without monthly fees or a minimum balance requirement. We also offer Education Savings, Explorer’s Club for Kids, and competitive Mortgages, Auto Loans, credit cards, and more!

So, what’s the appeal of a credit union? Employees who want to help you succeed financially, a banking institution that truly cares, and a history of putting our members first. Join at any local branch today!
