First Friday Fort Mill is a community event. Its purpose is to support locals – from entrepreneurs and musicians to artists and gourmet food trucks. Admission is free, but tokens are purchased for food and other activities. It’s fun for all ages.
Zach Ludham, a Rock Hill native, will headline the event.
The event is presented by ExploretheMill.com, a movement about building our community, preserving the history of Fort Mill, and becoming a “Localist.”
Buy Local, Bank Local street teamers will spread the Localist message too. “Our street team is made up of Family Trust employees who want to share why shopping locally is important,” says Kendra Collins, community relations manager. “It fits right in with First Friday Fort Mill’s mission to promote local entrepreneurs and reinvest in the community.”
As part of the Buy Local, Bank Local program through Dec. 31, credit union members will earn double awards points when using their Family Trust Debit card or Platinum Awards credit card. Five $100 cash prizes will be awarded to cardholders who shop locally during that time.
“It’s about using the power of credit union membership to support local businesses.”
