Family Trust Online Accessibility Statement

At Family Trust Federal Credit Union, we’re always working to enhance our site and increase accessibility and usability for all of our customers. Our accessibility efforts are ongoing, and are based on the Web World Wide Web Consortium’s (W3C’s) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, Level AA. Those who need further assistance can visit a local branch or talk on the phone with one of our member service representatives during business hours.

What Are We Doing?

To help us make the Family Trust Federal Credit Union website a positive place for everyone, we’ve been using the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with disabilities, and user friendly for everyone. The guidelines have three levels of accessibility (A, AA and AAA). We’ve chosen Level AA as the target for the Family Trust Federal Credit Union website.

The Family Trust Federal Credit Union website is working toward its goal of Level AA accessibility. We monitor the website regularly to maintain this, but if you do find any problems, please get in touch. Specific items our vendors have addressed or are addressing include:

  • Use of headings, lists, paragraphs, and other formatting features on www.familytrust.org so guests can more easily use the site.
  • Alternative text for appropriate images and non-text visual elements.
  • Pages, sites, and apps with a consistent structure to ease navigation.
  • When choosing colors and site design we consider the issue of contrast to promote the accessibility of images and text.
  • Designating responsibility for ensuring and promoting the accessibility of our website and other technologies.
