Summer camp comes to a close

The summer season was celebrated recently at the Worthy Boys and Girls Camp that wrapped up the year with an open house attended by Family Trust. The camp, conducted by volunteers from the Rock Hill Police Department, hosted about 160 kids during its five-week run this summer. Three one-week sessions were conducted for boys; two, one-week sessions were conducted for girls.

"Drab to Fab" winner claims $500

Krystal McKenzie’s bathroom will get a makeover thanks to the $500 she won in our “Drab to Fab” photo contest. Krystal, of Rock Hill, plans to start working on her bathroom renovations this weekend. The prize money will be a big help.

Market improving for home equity line of credit

Homes values are starting to go up again, which makes it a good time to consider a home equity line of credit.

Program develops employee leaders

Nine employees recently completed the Family Trust Leadership Institute held to develop leaders within the credit union.

The institute was conducted over eight months by Lee Gardner, President/CEO. Participants attended workshops, read several books and completed numerous assignments. The institute culminated with presentations that outlined strategies for the credit union.

Going, going, gone

Ninety minutes and a track hoe were all it took Tuesday to tear down our branch on White Street. The branch, built in 1967, makes way for our new headquarters expected to open sometime in 2015.

$30,000-plus raised at golf tournament

A lot of area children will have a great summer thanks to Family Trust’s Sixth Annual Charity Golf Tournament held Tuesday at the Rock Hill Country Club. More than $30,000 was raised for the Boys and Girls Clubs of York, County, the children’s Attention Home and The Palmetto School at the Children’s Attention Home.
