Seniors say farewell to advisory board

“Don’t spend it if you don’t have it” offers Christina Bonaparte, a graduating senior from Rock Hill High, who has served on our Youth Advisory Board for one year. Bonaparte recently presented her project to the board and earned a $1,000 scholarship she’ll use in the fall at Converse College. She plans to major in education and psychology with hopes on one day becoming a guidance counselor.

Gardner to receive state volunteer award

Family Trust President/CEO Lee Gardner is one of nine people receiving the South Carolina Association for Volunteer Administration (SCAVA) award for 2014, according to the S.C. Governor’s Office.

Artwork to dress up new headquarters

Five Winthrop University students recently gave us a sneak peek of their art that will be displayed in our new headquarters on White Street. Featuring railroad ties, cut steel, a porcelain map of York County and teacups, the artwork will be displayed in the community room, break room and board room, and in lobby areas.

Annual meeting brings friends together

Good friends, good food and family always go together, and there will be both at our 57th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 8, at the Baxter Hood Center at York Technical College in Rock Hill. The doors open at 5 p.m. with food served until the business meeting begins at 6:00.
