A recent survey shows that a shocking 81% of Americans say they use the same passwords for more than one account. Passwords are essential to security, but they are not the only method that can or should be used to protect one’s computers and devices. In addition to creating a good password, you should learn how to safeguard it and use it wisely. This means never sharing it and, if unable to remember it, keeping the written copy in a secure location.
Family Trust won second place for the Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Community Service Award with our “60 Years Strong and Giving Back” campaign. This slogan reminds people of our roots and mission. We encouraged employees to take on projects that help others and give back to our community. Here’s a few examples of how our employees participated this year.

Skimming devices and card fraud are topics that are seen more often in local news. You or a friend may have even been affected by one of these devices as well.

If you have an Auto Loan with another financial institution, you may have thought about refinancing it to save some money. There are some things to consider before doing so.
While it is nearly impossible to get around these days without sharing your name and email address, the other information is critical to protect. That is because if it gets stolen, it likely will end up on the Dark Web and from there, your identity could be applied to someone else.
There are few things more startling as when you realize you have forgotten to pay a bill. The shock sets in; you’re not sure how much of a fee will be associated if the payment is late. You think maybe you can make it across town in time to drop it off in person. Wouldn’t it be nice to just avoid the stress of a late bill altogether? Luckily, there is a way!
Family Trust began as the Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Company Federal Credit Union. The mission was simple. We wanted to help textile workers at The Bleachery consolidate their debts and save for their future. Today, though we have grown from our humble beginnings, but the mission is the same: We are people helping people who are dedicated to lending a helping hand and giving back to the community.
