Saving for college? Trying to buy a car? We all have savings goals. That’s why we’ve teamed up with The Elements of Money to help you meet those goals with the Haiku for You Contest. All you have to do is write a haiku (short poem) about what you’re saving for, and why. Best of all? You could win $250!
Being aware of issues that impact credit unions is important to Family Trust and several board members recently spent time with national representatives in Washington, D.C. Board members Beverly Ellis, Ann Reid and Ron Russell joined David Casey, Family Trust’s legislative affairs manager, at the 2015 Congressional Caucus conducted by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions.
Report card week is right around the corner – and Family Trust is paying (double) for good grades when Explorer’s Club members ages 8-12 bring in their report card during our Kids Reward Celebration 2 to 7 p.m. October 29 at our Fort Mill branch.
Thanks to you, Family Trust was voted “Best Bank/Credit Union” by Herald Readers’ Choice Buzzie Awards for the eighth year in a row! The newspaper has conducted its Buzzies contest for the past 17 years and asked readers to vote for their local favorites in more than 100 categories.
We celebrated our new Family Trust Center with a block party Thursday that also marked International Credit Union Day, which commemorates the credit union spirit of supporting one another and giving back.
Just like the new Family Trust Center itself, Tuesday’s ribbon cutting combined a tribute to our roots with a promise of the future.
“We started at the Rock Hill Printing and Finishing Co. in the mailroom with a cigar box,” Lee Gardner, Family Trust CEO and president, told the crowd that included many of the credit union’s earliest members. “We’ve come a long way.”
Members and the community are invited to join us as we celebrate the opening of our new branch and investment services office located in the new Family Trust Center in downtown Rock Hill’s Knowledge Park.
The new chip cards have been in the news recently as merchants and consumers prepare for today’s “liability shift” deadline on October 1. Understanding what this means for you is important. Family Trust will begin issuing chip-enabled credit cards this month, and EMV debit cards will be available in early 2016.
In the meantime, you are still protected from fraudulent transactions with Visa’s Zero Liability.
