After more than 50 years, Family Trust is as committed as ever to serving our members and York County communities. We embrace the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” and believe that our success comes from investing in the success of others. We support teachers, area businesses and non-profit organizations that benefit our neighbors.
Each year, Family Trust gives more than $50,000 to area non-profits working to benefit the greater community. In addition, local non-profits can request use of our Family Trust Center Community Room.
Golf for Charity
Our Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $30,000 in 2016. Each year, teams from the two Carolinas join our generous sponsors in a fun-filled day that includes lunch, prizes and plenty of mulligans.
We support education – from scholarships to school donations. Each year, we give more than $20,000 to Winthrop University and Clinton College.
We conduct free workshops throughout the year with topics ranging from improving your credit score and basic budgeting to first-time home-buying and planning for retirement. We’ll bring our sessions to your work site upon request.
Each year we distribute over 8,000 planners to area educators. It contains tips that enhance lesson planning and coupons from businesses that like to support teachers as much as we do.
“Thank you so much for your generous donation to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Thank you for providing the ultimate banking relationship and for supporting worthy causes!”

“Family Trust is the people with the home town flavor. They can make their own decisions. Not some big corporate office, in a town that doesn’t know anything about any of us.”
