Community Giving Mission
After more than 60 years, Family Trust remains committed to serving our members and York County communities. We embrace the credit union philosophy of “people helping people,” and believe that our success comes from investing in the success of others.
Community Partnership Program
Family Trust is grateful for the local non-profits and what they do to make our community a better place to live. We understand demands are increasing and resources are a constant struggle. Our credit union plans to continue to be a proud supporter of community-based organizations.
Our Community Partnership Program will allow us to make a greater impact on selected agencies by putting the power of our employees behind the donations.
- Complete your application by March 15 or September 15. A committee of credit union employees will review applications twice a year in April and October.
- Non-profits must provide financials or their latest 990.
- Agencies can request up to $5,000.
- Special consideration will be given those who provide volunteer opportunities for our employees, provide support to children and families, and emphasize financial education.
- Requests can be for general operations or special projects.
We conduct free workshops throughout the year with topics ranging from improving your credit score and basic budgeting to first-time home-buying and planning for retirement. We’ll bring our sessions to your work site upon request.
We provide twenty $500 grants to members who are public, private or homeschool teachers to fund student projects.
Each year we distribute over 8,000 planners to area educators. It contains tips that enhance lesson planning and coupons from businesses that like to support teachers as much as we do.
We support education from scholarships to local school donations.

“Family Trust is the people with the home town flavor. They can make their own decisions. Not some big corporate office, in a town that doesn’t know anything about any of us.”
